This encompasses almost all my accomplishments as a musician, a web sound expert, a web designer and writer. I am currently employed.


MUSICAL AND RELATED SKILLS
: Accomplished rock and pop keyboard player with years of live and recording experience. I am able to play in a variety of styles. Rock'n'roll and reggae are specialties.

MISCELLANEOUS: Vast knowledge and love of pop and rock music, its history and recordings. I love to write about rock'n'roll music!

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Hardware: Mac (Mac OS) and PCs (Windows XP, NT, 98 & 95)

Web Design: HTML, BBEdit and Adobe GoLive, Dreamweaver.

Multimedia: Music, Audio, Sound Design and Encoding for the Web with RealAudio, Quicktime and MP3. Music and Sound creation with Logic Express. Owner of home recording studio. I am also fully familiar with MIDI.

Graphics creation and editing with Photoshop.

MUSIC EXPERIENCE:

The Nails (1981-1988, 1994, Present)

Scott Severin (2004) - Played various keyboards on eponymous debut CD.

Kalvin Kristi and The Overdrive Band (March 2000) - Played live concert to packed nightclub in Newark, New Jersey with Jamaican reggae/pop band. I learned the songs in just two rehearsals and played very well.

The Motives (1999-2000)

Sessions with Marc Campbell of the Nails (1999) - Played piano and organ on upcoming solo CD in Brooklyn recording studio. I learned the songs right in the studio and played wonderfully. You'll hear it soon!

Cult Hit Songwriter, Hit Jingle Writer (1981, 1998-Present)

Co-wrote cult hit, "88 Lines about 44 Women," that appeared in a series of Clio Award-winning Mazda Protege TV commercials from October 1998 through April 2000.

Session Work - Phil Gammage (1990, 1993, 2000)

Played keyboards for Texas/New York musician formerly with Certain General and The Corvairs, currently in the Scarlet Dukes.

Micro Jammers Music Machine (1993)

Created sounds and riffs for popular musical toy manufactured by Cap Toys, utilizing both midi and digital audio recordings;

WEBSITE EXPERIENCE:

Rodeo Bar Website - http://www.rodeobar.com (1999-2004)

Created, produced and designed NYC nightclub website; created and customized animated graphics and backgrounds, wrote copy; composed music that streams from site; continued monthly maintenance including updates to band listings and creation of new pages and design elements including javascript.

The Nails Web Page (http://www.the-nails.com) (1997-Present)

Creation, design and maintenance of website with graphics, animation, streaming midi files and streaming audio files; created extensive discography page with scanned graphics, interesting copy, purchasing links and links to other artists;

Digitized over 15 audio samples and 3 interviews which involved recording the audio into the computer, enhancing and then encoding the audio to stream from the website in both Real and Quicktime formats; composed low-bandwidth midi music that streams from home page.

WEB WRITING, INFORMATION AND CONTENT DESIGN

MacDirectory (http://www.macdirectory.com) (May - September 2000)

Searching the web for a variety of Mac-based computer and related news; formatting stories and press releases for the web using BBEdit; entering items into Filemaker Pro database; editing, proofing and formatting others' contributions for the web and print magazine; preparing daily e-mail newsletter; researching, writing original stories and conducting email interviews. Writing samples to come shortly.

History of The Ravers (http://www6.50megs.com/newwave/ravers.html) (2000)

Wrote historical article about pioneering late 70's Boulder, Colorado punk-rock band; scanned and resized various archival graphics and photos which appear throughout the website including the title page.

Motives' Road Trip (dktrip1.html) (1999)

Designed and authored extensive 11 page web journal of 1999 road tour with reggae band The Motives; scanned and customized over 50 photographs for optimal web viewing and strategically placed photos alongside text; searched and created interesting links throughout the text; created easy linking to preceding and subsequent pages of the journal as well as creation of a table of contents.

Designed, and continue to manage and maintain the site as mentioned above; responsible for 95% of written content including constant updating of copy on home page, extensive CD descriptions, reviews; editing and spell-checking copy of other contributors; scanned photographs and CD graphics and placed them on various pages; management and administration of Bulletin Board.
